Advanced techniques for studying disease transmission in wildlife 

This workshop focused on laboratory rodent handling, sampling, and welfare practices. Participants received hands-on training in biological sampling techniques, including blood collection, parasite sampling, and tissue extraction. The workshop also covered proper animal management procedures, with emphasis on the use of anesthesia and euthanasia methods. Throughout the training, special attention was given to ethical considerations and best practices to ensure the welfare of laboratory rodents in accordance with established animal care guidelines.
